Question:
What filer option settings does Folderscape need?
Answer:
Having the option settings that Folderscape requires isn't generally a problem. The options that Folderscape needs
are pretty normal, common settings. Here are the details:
- Either "httpd.admin.enable" or "httpd.admin.ssl.enable" (or both) must be set to "on".
- If "httpd.admin.enable" is "off", then "ssl.enable" must be "on".
- "httpd.admin.access" must be set to allow access for the workstations on which you will use Folderscape.
- If the filer has an NFS license, then "nfs.access" must be set to allow NFS access from the workstations
on which you will use Folderscape.
- If the filer has an NFS license, then "nfs.tcp.enable" must be "on".
- If the filer has an NFS license, then "nfs.v3.enable" must be "on".
- Either "rsh.enable" or "ssh2.enable" must be "on".
- If "rsh.enable" is "on", then "rsh.access" must be set to allow access from the workstations
on which you will use Folderscape.
- If "rsh.enable" is "off", then "ssh.access" must be set to allow access from the workstations
on which you will use Folderscape.
- If "rsh.enable" is "off", then "ssh.pubkey_auth.enable" must be "on".
